Nancy : the city of Stanislas!

Nancy is the capital of the north-eastern French department of Meurthe-et-Moselle, it’s alive, young city and between the top student cities in France. The life is good in Nancy, since you can find many richness in term of architecture, leisure or art!

If I wanna recommend a part of the city, I can say Saurupt Park since I lived in the neighborhood when I arrived to Nancy the first time where you can find many architectural styles and a maze of amazing streets, with magnificent New Art and Art Deco buildings.

To promote the regional gastronomy Les Frères Marchands for cuisine typical of the Grand Est region, it’s an excellent restaurant located in the heart of old city next to some beautiful other restaurants and bars, not that far from Place Saint Epvre with its magnific Basilica .

For a drink, I wanna recommend The Brexit bar, they make some typical cocktails and beers, you can find what you want with an excellent price/quality ratio, the staff is very kind and it situated at 21 Rue de la Faïencerie.

For a party, I like to change places depending on the mood, but I prefer Le mouton électrique as my favorite musical bar, and L’ARQ as the best discothèque located on Place Stanislas.

And if you wanna have a real moment of calm and silence or if you are admiring the nature, you can visit Parc la pépiniere, it’s really a true green lung of the city, ideal for running with a cute mini-golf.
If you visit Nancy, it’s a mandatory to visit its beautiful square : Place Stanislas, built between March 1752 and November 1755 by Stanislaus I of Poland and since 1983 it’s considered as UNESCO World Heritage Site, the first place in France and in the top four in the world.
